WOYWW - Not very much.

Good morning to all the wonderful people from WOYWW and all other visitors. I am afraid there really is absolutely nothing on m y desk this morning. School started yesterday for the last term of the year and I cleaned my desk after my last little bit of holiday crafting. So no desk this morning, but I am showing you the fruits of my labour. There they all are, sewing completed. Even though I was complaining about having to sew these costumes (can you tell they are doing the Jailhouse Rock?) I am actually quite proud of myself now that they are done. I am sure the professionals out there will be able to point out some mistakes, but did you see the stripes actually match? Very impressive, don't you think?
I finally used my new Tilda stamp too. The dress form is from a local company Fab Scraps. Lace is from my mothers stash, flowers and ribbon from my stash and she was coloured with my beloved Copics, of course.
I went to Hobby ex this last week and although I was a bit disappointed, I did manage to buy a new stamp and embossing combo from Sizzix. AND..... I blame it on all of you, I broke down and bought some distress inks! The jury is still out on that one. I prefer the one I coloured with my Copics, but it was quite fun to do.
Well, thats all folks. Gotta run, school starts soon and I have to pick up the grandies and do the school run. Have a great day and a fantastic week.

  9. Congrats on getting those jailhouse costumes completed, and matching stripes eh? Get you, you clever thing. It always seems funny when you talk about finishing the school year as here in the UK the school year has just begun. Even when we don't go anymore it still dominates our lives it seems:) Hugs, Buttons #70

  17. Tertia, when I say I have nothing going on, it's like you hear the crickets. But you my darling sure have a lot to share when you "don't have anything going on." Hee hee... I wish I could sew. One thing still on my list of things to do. Love the cards. I am a Copic lover too so enjoyed seeing your Tilda card. I also really love both the from the heart cards. I think you have already mastered the distress inks too!!
    Have a blessed week.

  27. Hi Tertia thanks for popping by. I think I am going to rename my cupboard Never Ever Corner! Your costumes are fab. I love that scene from Jail House Rock. I think you may not get your costumes back though as they look just like the onesies that my son says are in fashion at the moment - you know the things rompers for bigger folk! Good luck with the performance. Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 5

  29. Oh my, you have been busy!
I would be proud of myself too!
Thanks for the advice about your sisters surgery success. I plan to convelesce just like your sister. We get a one day course here on how to recover gradually. That was why i redid my room.
Of course i won't be doing anything in the room the first couple of weeks!

I have spent the last 6 months totally immersed in my DH's recovery from a heart attack and the mountain of paperwork to get him paid for his time off.

He is recovered now and returned to work on Monday. It is my turn for my family to help me!!! lol

  33. Your outfits turned out so cute!!!!!! And I love little Tilda and your other cards! I'm like you, I just jumped on the Distress Ink bandwagon a couple of months ago when I had the chance to get a bunch of them for free, but I'm not sure how I'm feeling about them. Maybe I just haven't learned how to use them yet?
